Helping the Community Stay Fit
Dr. Ichtertz runs a vigorous campaign to get smokers to quit and he has been increasingly successful. This decreases bronchitis and ultimately decreases COPD and even Cancer. While saving themselves over $5 per day the ex-smoker is decreasing air pollution as well contributing to ecology. Smoking is well known to interfere with wound healing and, in particular has been demonstrated to decrease bone healing by 50%.
